At ThinkResin, we take pride in turning architectural visions into tangible realities. Our recent project in West Kensington is a testament to how bespoke resin flooring can redefine luxury living spaces. This stunning transformation showcases the endless possibilities of resin floors in high-end residential design.
- Location: West Kensington, London
- Property Type: Four-story Victorian townhouse
- Client: Private homeowner with a passion for modern art and sustainable living
- Scope of Work: Design, customize, and install seamless resin flooring throughout the entire residence
The homeowner sought to:
- Modernize the Interior: Update the classic Victorian layout with a contemporary, open-plan design.
- Enhance Natural Light: Maximize the flow of natural light to create airy, spacious environments.
- Incorporate Sustainable Materials: Align the renovation with eco-friendly principles.
- Create a Gallery-Like Ambiance: Provide a minimalist backdrop to showcase an extensive art collection.
Our Approach
Consultation and Design Collaboration
We began with an in-depth consultation to understand the client’s aesthetic preferences and functional needs. Key considerations included:
- Color Selection: Opting for a neutral, high-gloss white resin floor to amplify natural light and provide a clean canvas for artwork.
- Finish: Choosing a seamless, reflective surface to enhance the sense of space and elegance.
- Sustainability: Utilizing our plant-based, low-VOC resin materials to support the client’s commitment to eco-friendly living.
Customisation and Material Selection
- Bespoke Resin Blend: Developed a custom resin mixture to achieve the desired shade and finish.
- Underfloor Heating Integration: Incorporated heating systems beneath the resin floors for optimal comfort without disrupting the minimalist aesthetic.
- UV Resistance: Ensured the resin formulation included UV-resistant properties to maintain color integrity over time.
Professional Installation
Our expert installation team executed the project with meticulous attention to detail:
- Substrate Preparation: Leveled and primed all surfaces to guarantee a flawless application.
- Layered Application: Applied multiple resin layers to achieve the perfect thickness and durability.
- Quality Assurance: Conducted thorough inspections at each stage to ensure adherence to our high standards.
